Desiree Burch is a comedian, writer, actor, theatre-maker and NY-to-London transplant. Desiree has quickly and firmly established herself as one of the break out comic stars in the UK. She is the host and voice of Netflix’s smash reality hit, ‘Too Hot Too Handle’ and recently hosted Live At The Apollo (BBC 2).
Cariad is an actor, writer, podcaster and improviser. She has appeared in numerous comedy shows, including the Alan Carr sitcom, Changing Ends for ITV and opposite Sara Pascoe in Out of Her Mind for the BBC. She has been seen in Peep Show, Alan Partridge, Toast of London, Inside No.9 and Beyond Paradise. She has appeared as herself on Qi, Have I Got News For You, 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and House of Games. She is one of the UK’s best improvisers and is one of the creators of the award-winning West End comedy show Austentatious: An Improvised Jane Austen Novel. She is also the author of You Are Not Alone, the Sunday Times bestseller based on her award winning podcast, Griefcast, where she interviewed guests about their experiences of grief and death. She now hosts the Weirdos Book Club podcast with Sara Pascoe. She is also a children’s book author and her books Lydia Marmalade & the Christmas Wish and Where Did She Go? are out now.
Marjolein Robertson is an award-winning comedian, improviser, writer and storyteller from Shetland, now based in London. Her style of comedy is unique, weaving traditional Shetland folktales within her stand-up sets, toeing the line between relatability and surrealism with skill. She has provided tour support for some of her comedy heros including Ardal O’Hanlon and Kerry Godliman.
Shaparak “Shappi” Khorsandi is a celebrated British-Iranian comedian known for her fearless, funny takes on identity, family, and modern life. She’s lit up screens on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, QI, Have I Got News For You, and even braved the jungle on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!. A regular on BBC Radio 4’s Just a Minute and countless panel shows, Shappi’s sharp wit and warm storytelling have made her a household name.
Dr Steve Kershaw is an Ancient Historian whose lifelong interest in the Ancient Greeks has led him to a long career as a tutor and lecturer for a variety of organisations, including Oxford University and the V&A, as well as appearances as an expert contributor for many TV and radio programmes, including ‘You’re Dead to Me’ episodes on the legend of Atlantis! His publications cover the history and culture of Greece and Rome, and include Mythologica, his chart-topping children’s book on Greek mythology.
Professor Michael Scott is a Professor in Classics and Ancient History and Pro-Vice-Chancellor for International affairs at the University of Warwick. He is the author of multiple books on the ancient Mediterranean world as well as ancient Global History including ‘Themistocles: the Rise and Fall of Athens’s Naval Statesman’; and has written and presented a wide range of TV and Radio documentaries for National Geographic, SBS, History Channel, ITV and the BBC including ‘Ancient Invisible Cities’. He is also an Honorary Citizen of Delphi, Greece; President of the Lytham Saint Annes Classical Association; a National Teaching Fellow; and recipient of the International Lego Classicist of the Year Award as well as the Classical Association Prize. Most importantly, he has been involved with a number of You’re Dead to Me shows since the start of the podcast, and is delighted to be part of the first live show tour!
